Abate Bekele Belachew - Profile

EnderProf. Abate Bekele Belachew graduated from the Institute of Public Health, University of Gondar, Ethiopia, in 2010. Since then, he worked as a public health expert in various positions in a primary health care setting for three consecutive years until he started his specialization in 2013. He received his Biostatistics and Health Informatics specialization in 2015 with a thesis entitled "Individual and community-level factors associated with the introduction of prelacteal feeding in Ethiopia" from the School of Public Health, Mekelle University, Ethiopia. He worked as a lecturer and researcher between 2015 and 2019, after which he became a lecturer at Mekelle University, School of Public Health. Given his significant achievements in research, teaching, and community services, he became an assistant professor in March 2019. In October 2019, he joined the School of Public Health, Arba Minch University, Ethiopia, where he worked as a senior lecturer and researcher for about a year. Currently, he is studying for a doctoral degree within a project entitled "Molecular and Environmental basis for asthma in changing climate" in the University of Oulu, Center for Environmental and Respiratory Health Research, Oulu, Finland, from March 2020.
