Submission Conditions
The Journal of Arabic and Diglossia Studies accepts manuscripts under the following conditions:
- Original Work: The manuscript must be your original work and should not replicate any previously published material, including your own work.
- Exclusivity: The manuscript should be submitted solely to the Journal of Arabic and Diglossia It should not be under consideration, undergoing peer review, accepted for publication, in press, or published elsewhere.
- Ethical Standards: The manuscript should not contain any content that is abusive, defamatory, libelous, obscene, fraudulent, or illegal.
By submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Arabic and Diglossia Studies, you consent to any necessary originality checks conducted during the peer-review and production processes.
Manuscript Preparation
1. General Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be in English, with flexibility in spelling and punctuation styles. Double quotation marks should be used, except for quotations "within" quotations. Long quotations of 40 words or more should be indented without quotation marks.
- A typical manuscript ranges from 5,000 to 7,000 words, including tables, references, captions, and footnotes. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will undergo critical review for length.
- Manuscripts should be structured as follows: title page, abstract, keywords, main text, acknowledgments, references, and appendices (if applicable).
- All manuscripts must include an abstract of 150 words and five keywords.
- Section headings should be concise.
- Authors should provide their full names, affiliations, and email addresses on the cover page. One author should be designated as the corresponding author. If co-authors change affiliations during the peer-review process, this can be noted as a footnote. No changes to affiliation can be made after acceptance. The corresponding author's email address may be displayed in PDF and online articles.
- All individuals reasonably claiming authorship must be listed as co-authors. All co-authors must authorize the corresponding author to act on their behalf in all publication-related matters, and the order of author names should be mutually agreed upon.
- Authors should provide funding and grant details in the Acknowledgment section on the title For single agency grants, specify: "This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx]." For multiple agency grants: "This work was supported by [Funding Agency 1] under Grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency 2] under Grant [number xxxx]; and [Funding Agency 3] under Grant [number xxxx]."
- Authors should include a Disclosure Statement acknowledging any conflict of interest, financial interest, or benefit arising from the direct applications of their research.
- Non-discriminatory language is mandatory in all manuscripts, and sexist or racist terms must be avoided.
- When using proprietary terms or trademarks, authors must include the symbols ® or TM.

Manuscript Submission
- Include a 'cover page' with your full name, institutional and email address, telephone number, and a biographical note separately from the main manuscript file.
- Submit the manuscript in a WORD file (formats .doc or .docx), including the full title, abstract, figures, tables, and appendices.
