Jamal Mohamed Giaber holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He has been teaching translation and interpreting for more than twenty years and is currently an associate professor of translation at the Department of Languages and Literature, Translation Studies Program of the United Arab Emirates University, UAE.
He is also a professional translator and conference interpreter and a member of several international translation associations. He has published seven books and twenty papers and presented research at national, regional, and international conferences.
