Abstract: The threat of Islamophobia continues to surface. The latest is related to COVID-19. Islam considered as the source of the virus suddenly went viral, even with the hashtag #coronajihad. The implementation of religious rituals by ignoring social distance by certain groups can be one of the triggers besides propaganda and conspiracy from anti-Islam. This article aims to provide an argument against Islamophobia with consideration of Khusus Al Balwa. The approach used is a combination of normative and empirical facts amid the heterogeneity of Muslims during the pandemic. An interesting finding from this research shows that khusus al-balwa is a concept that Muslims need amid co-19 hegemony, especially in terms of providing a complex understanding to present a calming Islam rather than a threat. In reality, khusus al-balwa happened a lot amid the pluralism of Muslims to prevent the outbreak of Islamophobia amid co-19 issues. Consideration of khusus al balwa contribute to prevent the negative stigma that could harass verbally and physically to the muslem. In fact, the special concept of al-balwa has not been much studied by observers of Islamic law which is covered because of the 'fame' of ‘umum al-balwa. Khusus al-balwa has not been fully taken into consideration by the Mufti, both individuals, and institutions in bringing forth fatwa products. Keywords: Khusus al-balwa, Islamophobia, COVID-19. |

Attempts of Forcing Oil Production on the Eve of the Great Patriotic War - Pages 2262-2269 Elena V. Bodrova, Vyacheslav V. Kalinov and Valeria N. Krasivskaya DOI: https://doi.org/10.6000/1929-4409.2020.09.269 Published: 29 December 2020 |
Abstract: In this study, the problem of attempts to reorganize the USSR's oil industry on the eve of the Great Patriotic War and speed up oil production and oil refining to ensure industrialization and defense plans are investigated. The conclusion is formulated that the plans were not fully supported by financial, human, and technological resources. The reasons for the failure to fulfill the plans were strategic miscalculations, ignoring the recommendations of leading scientists and the repression against a significant number of brilliant oil specialists who restored industry in the 1920s, reconstructing it and ensuring the flow of currency through the expansion of oil exports. The measures taken on the eve of the war to reorganize the management of the oil industry, its technical re-equipment, and intensification of oil production yielded specific results. But the growth rate of production was also hindered by insufficient exploration of areas and their unpreparedness for exploitation. Before the war, Azerbaijan remained the main oil base of the USSR. The development of “Second Baku” was unacceptably slow. Keywords: Forced industrialization, technical re-equipment, oil industry, Great Patriotic War, industrialization. |

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - A Pre Audit Study of the Pattern of Drug Treatment in a Specialist Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the UK DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.6000/1929-4409.2015.04.14 |
Abstract:Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neuro developmental disorder and a common disorder of childhood with functional impairments and a significant personal, family and psychosocial burden. This is a pre audit study of children and young people with ADHD who were referred to the Specialist Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health service in Calderdale, Halifax in East Yorkshire. The main aim of the pre audit study was to determine and study the pattern of drug treatment with psycho stimulant medication in the service as well to study the socio-demographic characteristics of the children and young people referred. This was a cross - sectional study. Twenty cases were randomly selected from the available records and data was extracted directly from the medical records using data sheets designed for the pre-audit study. Males constituted 85% of the study sample and Females 15%. Age group 9-12 constituted 65% of the sample. The modified release preparation of Ritalin was more commonly prescribed than the immediate release preparation. Some practical advantages and limitations of brands are highlighted. The initial findings are useful and would help to modify the data sheet for improved quality and help to set the ‘audit standards’ for the main audit study. This has clinical governance implications in terms of delivering the most expedient quality care in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
